FAQ - What is the difference between a Home Sleep Test and a sleep test performed in a Sleep Lab?

A Home Sleep Test (HST) is performed in your home versus at a sleep lab. The portable monitoring device
measures oxygen saturation, heart rate, airflow and respiratory effort. It will also record snoring and
position. A sleep test that is performed in a sleep lab will be looking for other sleep disorders as well as sleep apnea, such as REB Behavior Disorder, Resless Leg Syndrome, and others. Home Sleep Testing is for those that suspect they have sleep apnea. Feel free to check out the Epworth Sleepiness Scale or the Berlin questionnaire to see how you score.
